Nirox is simply a cultural experience. On their website, Nirox describes itself as a generative space for artists, curators, writers, and cultural practitioners to create and share. Apart from the arts and culture that is at Nirox, what I enjoy is the music shows or concerts which they host periodically. These concerts normally has soul music, jazz music, and really classy music which is great for a relaxed concert in the park.

Fourways Farmers Market
The Fourways farmers market is an affordable outing for the entire family. I have seen people taking even their pets to the market. They do have to be trained and on a leash! The Fourway farmers market used to be located in Fourways right by Monte Casino. It has now moved closer to the Midrand area to a farm called Taroko Farm.
Activities to do at the Fourways Farmers Market
I will be honest, I was disappointed to find out that there are no farmers with stalls with fresh produce and baked goods like in the movies. The farmers market is along a river bed and families relax and catch up on the grass and seating areas. There is a lot of food from food vendors “different food truck vibes”. The alcohol is a bit expensive but R200 is more than enough for you to have a good time. The best part is the live music. I would say, try to get there by around 11:00 in the morning to get the best seats and enjoy the live music
Monte Casino
Yes, what list would be complete without Monte Casino. I am in love with the Tuscany vibe that is created withing the building. It always feels as though I have gone someplace magical. The restaurants are good and if you are on a tight budget, the fast food court has great options to select from.
I will say, if you enjoy gambling at the casino, Monte Casino is the place for you to be.
